YEP Role

Member of WWF- Zambia Freshwater Team. I was working on a monitoring framework for the E-Flows programme in the Zambezi River Basin. Click here for more information about my project.

Background

Nationality: Zambian
Education: Bachelor of Social Science with Honours in Geography and Environmental Management from University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, 2011.  Final year thesis looked into the policy and practice of industrial solid waste management in Lusaka, Zambia.

 

Experience before YEP

• October 2013 – May 2014. Worked as Environmental Scientist at a mineral exploration company, which involved preparation of Environmental Project Briefs, Environmental Management Plans, Compliance and Environmental Auditing.
• October 2011- October 2013. Work experience was in the solid waste management industry of Lusaka, Zambia. Worked closely with The Municipal Council at controlling and handling of solid waste in designated residential areas. Focus was adherence to solid waste legislation, waste stream auditing and streamlining where possible.
