Advisory technical manager at HH Rijnland the Netherlands
YEP RoleI was a consultant at the Dutch Water Authorities (DWA) Rijnland. And in that role I worked at the Dutch-funded Blue Gold Program in Bangladesh. Together with an international team we tried to solve some local water resources management subjects such as :
- enhancing flood protection in polders by rehabilitation of the embankments and water intakes and outlets; improving the water distribution and drainage systems
- fine-tuning and rehabilitation of the infrastructural works of selected polders
- establishing an effective operational partnership between government agencies (e.g. BWDB, DAE, and others) and community groups

Skills
In earlier work and during my education I gained experience with organization and planning, monitoring and evaluation (PME) of multidisciplinary projects. I am good at keeping the overview and structuring projects towards their goal. I have a bachelor degree in Land & Watermanagement, and specialized in a combination of spatial planning and hydrology.

Experience before YEP
After graduating in 2013 I started a traineeship for the Dutch Water Authority’s (DWA). In these two years I worked for three different DWA’s on a broad spectrum of water related subjects. Such as embankment stability, Water quality, and spatial planning (with water quantities).
