Young Expert at Stichting Traide - Ethiopia and Rwanda
YEP period 2021 - 2023, batch 23
Evelien will work as a project officer on inclusive and sustainable energy development in Rwanda and Ethiopia. Evelien will advance the current TRAIDE program Context-Sensitive Investment by broadening the scope of energy investors and will lead the on-the-ground expansion of renewable energy for households and productive users. To make this happen, TRAIDE carries out several projects: market research, trade missions, business development, and front office support to businesses already present in the respective countries.

Evelien has a background in sustainable development and international relations, with a specific focus on renewable energy development in sub-Saharan Africa. Evelien is a critical thinker, an excellent team player, eager to learn, and looking for sustainability in everything. Other relevant skills include interdisciplinary research skills and intercultural communication skills.
