Young Expert at Royal HaskoningDHV - Vietnam
YEP period 2021 - 2022, batch 23

YEP Role

Working for Royal HaskoningDHV Vietnam for the Provincial Master Plan Cần Thơ. This integrated spatial master plan in an integrated approach connects spatial development to challenges in (amongst others) water protection and availability, climate adaptation, agriculture, and renewable energy. In this project, I form a bridge between international theory and best practice on sustainable water and climate adaptation solutions worldwide and the Vietnamese practice in Cần Thơ. I combine this with current urban planning trends and visions on integrated urban and regional development. In this role, I work together with local stakeholders to find solutions for managing and developing an area in Vietnam that is one of the most prone to water and climate challenges in the country, and arguably the world.
