Low Income Customer Support Department (LICSD) Officer at Ghana Water Company Limited


YEP Role

I work with Ghana Water Company Limited, the sole urban supply of water in Ghana. I am in the department known as the Low-Income Customer Support Department (LICSD), the department is tasked with making sure that low-income communities within the urban certain also get access to a potable, affordable, and reliable pipe water supply.

My job description is;

  • Sort for funding to provide water at a subsidized cost for the low-income communities
  • Baseline survey in selected communities
  • Extension of pipelines
  • Community Engagement activities
  • Water demand promotions
  • Connection of customers
  • Formation and training of Water Users Association
  • Monitoring
