YEP Role

The Eswatini All Hands on Deck project aims to strengthen River Basin Authorities (RBAs) in improving the management of local water resources, with support from the Blue Deal Programme. This is critical for the increase of water storage capacity & availability whiles reducing water stress in the Kingdom of Swaziland (Eswatini). The Project supports the establishment of a Joint Operational Organization (JOO) of the RBAs to carry out decentralized water management.

 

I work as a Project Technical Assistant for the AHD project with the main tasks of:

  • Data collection and manipulation, and GIS information management
  • Water use monitoring & accounting
  • Research and proposal writing

Experience before YEP

Active participation in the SADC WaterNet network as an Alumni Steering Committee Chairperson. I have also worked for the National Agricultural Marketing Board (2014-2016) as a GIT under the farm support & development unit, whereby I supervised demonstration plots, vegetable seedling nursery &shop, and the provision of a tractor and implement service to out-growers.
