Experience before YEP
I worked in Lebanon for a local NGO as a Programs Officer, developing programs, writing proposals and reports and coordinating with UN agencies, local and INGOs for our community centers for Syrians, Palestinians and Lebanese. We were covering everything from basic needs, education, protections and developmental needs.
For my Master in Human Development and Food Security I went back to Lebanon to write on the strategies of starvation in Syria and the coping mechanisms of Syrians under siege who turned to agriculture under siege. I left Lebanon to do research in Greece on food culture among refugees and migrants and stayed to work as a Programs Manager for a local NGO; mainly focused on mental health and livelihoods. I designed and implemented a comprehensive M&E system for the mental health program. Besides, I coordinated and managed all projects, liaison with partners and started new programs.
