Experience before YEP
I previously worked as a financial and investment analyst for an investment manager in Kenya that manages pensions funds on behalf of institutional clients in the East African region. My work entailed maintaining and updating financial model records as well as conducting financial analysis and review of companies within the investable universe which included equities, corporate bonds and private equity. These recommendations were then documented in a concise investment report that was presented to the investment committee for investment actions.
I am also involved in humanitarian work as a mentor for young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds through the Global Give Back Circle Initiative. Global Give Back Circle applies a holistic mentorship process designed to enable and empower disadvantaged girls to continue their education, find employment and experience the joys of global citizenship while embracing a ‘Give Back’ ethos.
