Program Officer at Oxfam Novib, Cambodia

YEP Role

I am assigned as Business Development and Communication Officer at ICCO Cambodia. My main tasks include business development activities within the business work package of the AngkorSALAD project that aims to provide geodata services to vegetable farmers in Cambodia. As a business developer, I will also involve in the proposal development and other relevant market research for the Cambodia office under the supervision of the regional business developer. In addition, I will also be responsible for the overall communication activities for other assigned projects of the Cambodia office, and support the regional communication team in developing the relevant communication materials for donors and stakeholders. I will work together with my Dutch YEP colleague Jelmer Klinkenberg.

Experience before YEP

• Marketing and Communication intern at ICCO Cooperation: Assisting the regional marketing and communication manager and programme officers to conduct a field interview, develop communication materials, and execute the tasks given according to the communication strategy
• Communication Lead for the First Cambodia Model ASEAN Meeting organized by Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia: Overseeing the overall communication activities and social media campaign before, during, and after the event
• Blog Writer Interns at UNICEF Cambodia: Writing weekly articles on social and environmental issues at the Voice of Youth Program and received a 6-month training program on blog and website management
• Radio News Reporter at the Women's Media Center: News coverage on social issues, concerning gender equality and women empowerment, conduct interviews with key governmental and non-governmental institutions for hot news and feature stories coverage
• Cambodian Youth Representative group at ASEAN Foundation Model ASEAN Meeting (Singapore), Media Student Representative at the Social Youth Exchange in Media Industry in JENESYS (Japan)
