Young Expert at Aidenvironment - Uganda
YEP period 2019 - 2021, batch 17
My position will be Project officer and I will be responsible for coordination and field implementation of the project on, ‘’Introducing self-supply and circular agriculture in smallholder coffee producers’’ in Eastern Uganda with particular focus on; Improving coffee value chain, efficient water management, uphill catchment protection and restoration, promoting inclusive and sustainable growth; and Improving access to clean and safe water.
I am a pro-active and self-motivated person with passion about; environment management, water, sanitation and hygiene improvement, water resources management, catchment protection and environment governance. My skills include but not limited to; project planning and implementation, project budgeting, environmental education and documentation.
Education: I hold a Bachelors of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Management and pursuing a Masters in Environment and Natural Resources Management at Makerere University, Kampala
Experience before YEP
I worked with Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network, UWASNET as a Program Assistant between July 2015 and September 2018. I participated in implementation of the Watershed Project supported by International Water and Sanitation Centre, IRC Uganda. I also trained with the Ministry of Water and Environment on construction of water and sanitation supply systems.
