Agribusiness & Women's Economic Empowerment Advisor at SNV, Vietnam
YEP Role
I work as Junior Advisor on Agribusiness and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Climate Smart Agriculture and Gender programme, SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. The overall goal of the programme is to enhance women’s social and economic empowerment and resilience to climate change through improved access to and control over assets and benefits in agricultural value chains.
My key role is to work with other advisors in my organisation to provide technical inputs, develop technical guidelines for project’s activities and conduct some specific assignment. The focus of the my position in the programme will be on strengthening the role of the private sector in increasing women’s economic empowerment and resilience in agricultural value chains by supporting the integration of gender-responsive and climate-smart practices in their core business operation. In addition, I work with my colleague to support the start-up and development of women-led businesses in agriculture. I also play another role of project coordinator for activities implemented in the field in which I am in charge of developing annual work plan based on project’s design, targets and available budget together with my team and our partners, monitor project activities at the field and prepare reports to management.
