The partnership was working under a project dubbed ‘Timiza Usafi’ simply translated as Realizing Sanitation. My role involved instituting financial controls to minimize expenditure and get value out of every expenditure incurred. I also did day to day cash flow management to ensure that the company if financially afloat to meet its immediate and long term financial obligations. My work also involved reduction of commercial losses by ensuring that meter reading is accurate and prompt as well as dealing with illegal connections to ensure that they are minimized.
