Experience before YEP
Before YEP, I was working as the Commercial & Finance Manager for Homawasco- a water utility company in the western parts of Kenya under a partnership with Dunea Water company in the Netherlands. The partnership was working under a project dubbed ‘Timiza Usafi’ simply translated as Realizing Sanitation. My role involved instituting financial controls to minimize expenditure and get value out of every expenditure incurred. I also did day to day cash flow management to ensure that the company if financially afloat to meet its immediate and long term financial obligations. My work also involved reduction of commercial losses by ensuring that meter reading is accurate and prompt as well as dealing with illegal connections to ensure that they are minimized.
