Young Expert at Stichting Konfinanzas - Colombia

First position after YEP

Implementation Coordinator at Quipu, Colombia

YEP Role

I am a Business Developer for Stichting Konfinanzas in Colombia. I’m currently strengthening Konfinanzas network of stakeholders in the region including, rural communities, grassroots NGO’s, public institutions, social and tech companies working in related fields to create partnerships. My goal is to design the different steps of capacity-building workshops to support these grassroots NGO’s and rural communities on attaining sustainability and long-term impacts on their projects: financial, social & environmental impact analysis, use oftechnology, and when required access to funding, or innovative financial tools such as digitalcommunity currencies. I would be implementing, monitoring and assessing our first two pilots in the country.

Experience before YEP

I worked as a financial analyst in a Corporative group of universities in Mexico, where I monitored & controlled the capital expenditure projects in new or existing programs in the North Region of the country.

Then I worked as a data analyst in the Mexican Red Cross, optimising internal processes for improving transparency of funds and financial information management.

And my recent work experience was in an AI tech company in Mexico as a Financial Coordinator. I was responsible for feasibility and financial analysis, and budget planning and control. I used to participate in the decision-making team for innovation.

As broad as my work experiences are, I have always been passionate about development and social impact and I am a believer of the great potential of the synergies among private, public and tech. I have been a volunteer in “Un techo para mi pais” Colombia and Mexico, and in grassroots foundations aiming to diminish violence and inequality in Mexico and Colombia.
