General Manager at Senselet Food Processing PLC, Ethiopia
YEP Role
As a Young Expert I work at Senselet Food Processing, a large potato processing company which aims to develop the potato value chain in Ethiopia. I’ve grown from a role focusing on Sales and Food Safety towards General Manager of the company. In this role my main responsibilities are:
- Daily operations of all departments and reporting to shareholder
- Growing market demand to increase sales and as such increase demand for potatoes
- Strategically developing potato supply chain with several partners focusing on smallholder programs, education and seed production
- Establishing a effective production facility with international standards on Health and Food Safety

- Marketing and Sales at Procter & Gamble: I’ve developed my commercial interests in various roles including eCommerce in which entrepreneurial possibilities existed with the multinational company of P&G. Learning and people development has played an important part in this period, both personal development as well as developing others
