YEP Role

 

Project Officer, AgroFood Design

 

My YEP role in Agriculture and Design will focus on innovativeness in our food sector, dealing with scarce raw materials, food waste and animal welfare. Through YEP, I will be exploring the business and market potential in bringing farmers, designers, policymakers, scientists and other stakeholders together to explore Ghana’s food sector and food future.

 

This role gives me the opportunity to build more content-based (sub) networks, in the field of Agrofood and Design. These sectors are important strongholds of Dutch knowledge and Ghana offers opportunities for them. Also, the relevance of innovative ideas in applying Design (or Design Thinking) to Agrofood is an essential but untapped market in Ghana. With Creative sector being a top sector in the Netherlands, Agrofood Design is a great balance to explore new and innovative business opportunities in the Agrofood sector.
