YEP

The main goal of the Young Expert Programmes (YEP), consisting of YEP Water & YEP Agrofood, is to offer young Dutch and local professionals the opportunity to take their first steps in an international environment. They are employed through Dutch organisations in a number of eligible countries. The programmes aim to rejuvenate the Water & Agrofood sectors and ensure the continued availability of expertise for these sectors.

The YEP Programmes are carried out jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.

YEAR 2 - 2019-2020

Project Support Officer- Acacia Water BV, providing analysis on current policies, directives and laws pertaining to Water in Ethiopia. Serving as focal point for liaising with region and Federal Government water offices for the  Ziway-Shalla basin project.

 

YEAR 1 - 2017-2018

Project coordinator of Safe Drinking Water Ethiopia project, by:

  • Developing a household water filter business case for the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sectors;
  • Refining project plans funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency for safe drinking water in Ethiopia, executed by public-private partnership between Amhara Regional Bureau of Health, Resilience BV, iDE Ethiopia, and Shayashone PLC.
