YEP Role
I am currently working at Royal HaskoningDHV office in Yangon, Myanmar since July 2015. I am appointed as project engineer on the AIRBM (Ayeyarwady Integrated River Basin Management) Sub-project No. 1. The project is awarded to Royal HaskoningDHV to consult the client on effective measures for improving the navigability of the Ayeyarwady River along the stretch near Mandalay. I will play a supportive role on the morphological studies that will have to be conducted in collaboration with experts in the Netherlands and colleagues in Yangon office. Also, I will work on other river and coastal engineering projects in Myanmar that will be awarded to RHDHV over 2017-2018. This includes working at the AIRBM project, its potential spin-offs and other assignments in the field of:
- River and Coastal Engineering
- Hydraulic Engineering & Modelling
- Environmental Impact Analyses
- Data collection to support various analyses including data on industrial, domestic and agricultural use.
- Supporting the Dutch/Myanmar team in proposal writing
- Supporting the Dutch/Myanmar team in maintaining the business network (Netherlands/ Myanmar/ International)
