YEP

The main goal of the Young Expert Programmes (YEP), consisting of YEP Water & YEP Agrofood, is to offer young Dutch and local professionals the opportunity to take their first steps in an international environment. They are employed through Dutch organisations in a number of eligible countries. The programmes aim to rejuvenate the Water & Agrofood sectors and ensure the continued availability of expertise for these sectors.

The YEP Programmes are carried out jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.

Sustainability Representative Ghana: Supervising programs and developing the M&E framework in order to measure and increase the impact of Cocoanect’s sustainability activities, together with local partner the Louis Bolk Institute / Agro Eco.

Experience before YEP

  • SNV Netherlands Development Organization: governance data management for a USAID funded rural sanitation program in Rwanda & program development for urban water supply services at HO in The Hague.
  • Impact Centre Erasmus University Rotterdam: action research projects for NGOs (Simavi, MaxFoundation, Wash Alliance International) and corporate philanthropy initiatives (G-Star Foundation).
  • Netherlands Embassy in Zimbabwe: internship in political and economic affairs.
