YEP

The main goal of the Young Expert Programmes (YEP), consisting of YEP Water & YEP Agrofood, is to offer young Dutch and local professionals the opportunity to take their first steps in an international environment. They are employed through Dutch organisations in a number of eligible countries. The programmes aim to rejuvenate the Water & Agrofood sectors and ensure the continued availability of expertise for these sectors.

The YEP Programmes are carried out jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.

Evaluation YEP Programmes

September next, YEP Programmes celebrates its 5 year anniversary! By then, 350 Young Experts (in 15 batches) will have kickstarted their international careers through YEP.

In order to (i) provide insight in the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the programmes and (ii) to formulate recommendations for improvement and optimal organisational design of YEP, an evaluation will be carried out. The evaluation team will also provide recommendations on the continuation and possible extension of the programmes to Energy, Circular Economy and/or Sexual and Reproductive Health and

Rights (SRHR).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Ecorys evaluate the programme. The draft report will be published in October. In the meantime, you might be contacted by the evaluation team for a visit or an interview by Skype, telephone or mail. We would appreciate your full cooperation, in order to continue YEP Programmes, hopefully with an extension to other sectors!
