YEP

The main goal of the Young Expert Programmes (YEP), consisting of YEP Water & YEP Agrofood, is to offer young Dutch and local professionals the opportunity to take their first steps in an international environment. They are employed through Dutch organisations in a number of eligible countries. The programmes aim to rejuvenate the Water & Agrofood sectors and ensure the continued availability of expertise for these sectors.

The YEP Programmes are carried out jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.

Changes in YEP team members

As from April 1st, Jelmar Ketelaars will leave the YEP team. He has decided to pick up a study. Fortunately, two of our colleagues at the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) will join our team. Jelmer Klinkenberg will take over all Jelmar’s tasks regarding to the YEP trainings. Jelmer is familiar with YEP, since he was a Young Expert himself in batch 7, in which he started working for Vitens Evides International in Mozambique. After his secondment, he started working at NWP as a project officer for Indonesia. Jelmer will combine his Indonesia work at NWP with his new tasks at the YEP programme bureau.

Besides Jelmer, Annemarie Mastenbroek will join the YEP team as well. Annemarie has a background in financing and is currently project officer Finance for Water at NWP. She will combine this job with the coordination of the assessment and selection of project proposals within YEP.
