Below you will find the newest YEP positions, for which you can apply until April 1st, 13:00h. These positions are only open for Dutch Young Experts, local Young Experts are selected through the selection process of the specific companies.
Please read the following information carefully before submitting your application!
Please note that if you apply in this round, you are required to attend the training weeks should you be selected for a YEP position. Therefore, remember to only apply if you are able to attend the training weeks. You might be selected for the training weeks in batch #20 from 15 June - 3 July 2020. Due to the coronavirus/COVID-19, the training weeks might be rescheduled to 21 September - 9 October. A full overview of the application periods and training dates can be found here.
Application and selection process
The project positions include a link to the application form, where you also should upload your CV (max. 2 pages) and a motivation letter (1 page). The motivation letter (in English) should explain your motivation for this position, as well as your motivation for joining YEP Programmes.
After the initial selection based on your CV and motivation letter, you might be invited to the (online) speeddate sessions on 17 April, so save this date. After the speeddate sessions you might be presented to organisations for a specific project, be added to the YEP pool of potential Young Experts, or not admitted to YEP. If you are presented to an organisation, and they choose another Young Expert, you will usually be added to the pool of potential Young Experts. This means you have passed the selection process and you might be matched with future YEP positions. It is important to note that the Programme bureau cannot guarantee a position in the YEP Programmes once you are included in the candidate pool: this depends on the projects available and whether they fit your profile and preferences. Therefore, a proactive attitude towards securing a YEP position is encouraged.
We prefer receiving your application for a suitable project position: this gives you the best change to be matched with a YEP position. However, in case the current project positions don't match your CV, you can send an open application (until the closing deadline). For an open application we also require your CV and motivation letter. In this case, the motivation letter solely explains your motivation for joining YEP. Please be as detailed as possible during your application, so include any preferences for, and previous experiences in countries, as well as any language skills.
After a first selection on CV and motivation letter, you might be invited to the speeddate sessions as well (see ‘speeddate session’ above). Please note however, that candidates applying for specific project positions will get priority, and there is a chance the speeddate sessions will already be filled with these applications.
In batch 20, there are positions available for YEP Agrofood and YEP Water. YEP Energy positions will be available in batch 21.
